Outpatient Treatment for Substance Abuse at Unity Health
At Unity Health, we have a special program for people dealing with addiction. Our program is recognized by the State of Maryland and has the Joint Commission’s approval.
If you’re over 18 and have been diagnosed with addiction, our program may be for you. We especially prioritize those who use IV drugs, have HIV, or are pregnant.
While you’re with us, we also provide general medical care. Our team can handle common health issues like high blood pressure or diabetes, give vaccines, and offer check-ups. We also have special services for women’s health, health education, counseling, and can connect you to other experts. If you have Medicaid, you can also use our Behavioral Health Home services.
Here’s what our program offers:
Medication to help with opioid addiction.
One-on-one therapy sessions
Group therapy (different types, including one for methadone and some just for men or women)
Training on how to prevent overdoses.
Guidance to avoid going back to drugs.
Help to quit smoking.
Support and education for families
Check-ups for other mental health issues and connections to more help
Evaluations by the Department of Public Safety
Help and therapy for DUI/DWI issues.
Support from people who’ve been through addiction, available even at our emergency department.
